Genesius Guild Presents -- Sounds and Sweet Airs

This is a special presentation by the Genesius Theatre Guild of the Quad Cities in preparation for its summer season at Rock Island's Lincoln Park.

Join Rock Island's own Genesius Guild as they celebrate William Shakespeare with a readers theater performance of Sounds and Sweet Airs. This free production is a supercut of some of Shakespeare's greatest writing, featuring scenes and monologues from many of his plays. Sounds and Sweet Airs shows how intricate and beautiful Shakespeare's writing can be, while highlighting themes that the Bard used across his catalog of shows and characters.

The Genesius Guild--a community theatre organization located in Rock Island--stages productions in Lincoln Park every summer, with performances Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM. Founded in 1956, the group performs Greek drama, Greek comedy, and the works of Shakespeare every weekend throughout the summer months.  All the Guild's productions are offered with free admission.
