Event Details

Celebrate winter with the Rock Island Public Library and the Quad City Botanical Center with sand, science, stories and crafts.  

Join us for plenty of penguin fun, including reading, crafts, and activities from the Rock Island Public Library and Quad City Botanical Center. Read a story together as a family, hunt for penguins in the garden, take our Penguin Parade challenge, register for winter reading or for a library card, and more!  The stories you read or hear count towards your Rock Island Library winter reading. No charge for admission during event hours.

Adults, you can also meet Census recruiting reps, and learn about jobs available for $22 per hour.

Penguin craft for the kids, rock painting for all ages, and a free giveaway while supplies last.
