The Rock  island Public Library and the Davenport Public Library are partnering with the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities to present a four-part lecture series on complexities and hot button issues of the Middle East, presented by local professor and historian Dr. Art Pitz.  In the second part of the series, Dr. Pitz will make a presentation entitled The Shia Arc:  Revival of the Persian Empire.
