Downtown Library Work

Despite sidewalk repairs and MetroNet working outside our Downtown Library, both entrances are still available. Patrons using our accessible South entrance may have to use part of the alley. We apologize for the disruption, and appreciate your patience.

Program Description

Event Details

NAMI Family & Friends offers you the opportunity to engage in mental health discussions with others. This is NAMI's front door. A friendly hello to help those looking for answers.

This is a seminar to inform people who have loved ones with a mental health condition how to best support them.

This free 90-minute program is delivered by a team of certified NAMI family educators who understand your situation because they, too, have been through something similar. Their goal is to offer practical skills and information to address your immediate concerns.

  • Effective communication strategies
  • The importance of self-care
  • Crisis preparation strategies
  • NAMI and community resources

All participants will receive the companion eBook via email post-seminar. It provides important information about mental health conditions, specifically warning signs and diagnoses, treatment and recovery, crisis planning and various other resources.

This event is free and open to the public. Register to receive an email reminder. Registration is not required to attend this event.
