The presentation, based on William Hampes' book, Cowboy Courage, uses both a discussion about and video clips from film and television Westerns to show how they demonstrate the ways different types of courage (physical, moral and psychological) lead to achieving various virtues and overcoming challenges (redemption, love, friendship and belonging to a community, temperance, authenticity, justice, and growing up and growing old.
