Painting is completed at our Southwest Branch, but we're still putting things back! Our Children's Area at Southwest will be unavailable for browsing until Tuesday, Dec. 16. If you need something from that area, please ask staff for assistance.

Event Details

It has been a tough go for many in our community recently. Be a part of positive change and donate to our 2nd annual Community Comforts Drive. This year we are collecting for Heart of Hope Ministries, a local organization who aims to help any community member in need. Drop off boxes will be located at the Downtown Library and the Southwest Library from Feb.1 - Feb 27th. Library hours are 9 am to 6 pm Monday-Friday, and 9 am to noon on Saturdays. (Please note that Rock Island Libraries are closed Monday, February 15 for a staff development day.) 

We are looking for:

  • Personal Care Items
  • Soaps (Body wash, bar soap, dish soap, Laundry Soap)
  • Paper Products (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, etc.)
  • Deodorant
  • Toothbrushes and Toothpaste
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
