Christmas Holiday Closings

All Rock Island Library locations, including Library2Go bookmobile routes, are closed for the Christmas holiday on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25. Libraries are open normal hours  Monday and Thursday of Christmas week, but there will be no Goodwill computer assistance program on Dec. 26. 

Stay in touch over the holiday with our digital services and PrairieCat app. Our website "online branch" is always open!

Are you navigating the role of caregiver for a loved one with a terminal illness and looking for support? Please join Jackie, of Sacred Mournings, to learn more about caregiving at the end of life and find support with your community members. This event is free and open to all. 

This program is facilitated by Jackie Hauer of Sacred Mournings. A member of International End-Of-Life Doula Association (INELDA), Jackie completed End of Life Doula Training through INELDA in 2021 and is currently finishing up her End-of-Life Doula Certification, also through INELDA. She  is a member of NEDA and has earned her NEDA Proficient Badge. Jackie is a  RYT-200 Yoga student and teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Millikin University.
