Thanksgiving Holiday Closings

All Rock Island Library buildings will close at 6pm Wednesday, Nov. 27, and remain closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 & 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Library2Go routes are also cancelled. 

Stay in touch with our digital services and PrairieCat app! All locations reopen on Saturday, Nov. 20 with normal 10am to 2 pm hours.

Event Details

It's the 50th Anniversary of the Moon landing and the music of BTS is blasting off into outer space! Songs Mikrokosmos, Moonchild and134340  have been chosen for NASA's Moon Tunes playlist in preparation for their upcoming 2024 voyage. Choose your favorite song title and decorate your own Bangtan Galaxy bookmark at this event. Show BTS your love for lyrics, lunar rays and literature!
