What do men like Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis, Zachary Taylor, Winfield Scott, Albert Sidney Johnston, Robert Anderson and Andrew Jackson all have in common? They all participated in the Black Hawk War! Everyone knows about the Trail of Tears and the Jacksonian Indian Removal Policy, but few know of one man's struggle to lead his nation and people back to their land. That man was Black Hawk.Today we feature two videos. The first covers the first part of the month of June 1832 in the Black Hawk War. [21 minutes]
This video will be part of a series of videos on the Black Hawk War. This is the most recent that is available. We will be glad to show more parts after they are completed and published.

The second video is:  Black Hawk's Final Resting Place A Documentary Short by Russ Fry
The Sauk war chief known to the American settlers as Black Hawk, fought and lost a war in 1832 as he tried to retake his homeland. His grave was robbed in 1839. The history books say his remains were destroyed in a museum fire in 1853 at Burlington, Iowa. The history books are wrong.  Come, find out where Black Hawk's remains ended up.  [26 minutes]
