Event Details

If you are 8-17 years old and interested in airplanes, flight, and/or aviation careers:

Step 1-Attend a FREE briefing on Saturday, January 21, at our Downtown Library!

You will learn from an experienced local pilot about what it's like to fly, and the amazing history of flight. You'll also learn how aircraft stays in the air, possible career options, and how flying can be affordable and reachable for all.

Katrina P, a student herself, is offering this program as part of a United Way leadership challenge. She's using her UW grant to interest young people in aviation careers. Attend the briefing to learn more about a second event she has organized at the Quad City International Airport on February. The event recognizes Charles Lindbergh, an early pioneer of trans-Atlantic flight, with special activities. A parent or guardian must be present at the February 4 event.

This program is being made possible by the United Way Caring Project, and the Experimental Airplane Association (EAA) Chapter 75.
